DICTA '95 is the third biennial national conference of the Australian Pattern Recognition Society.
This event will provide an opportunity for any persons with an interest in computer vision, digital image processing/analysis and other aspects of pattern recognition to become informed about contemporary developments in the area, to exchange ideas, to establish contacts and to share details of their own work with others.
The invited speakers have been confirmed. They are Christopher Brown who will speak on "Intelligent Control for and by Computer Vision" and Ramesh Jain who will speak on "Visual Information Management." A number of overseas speakers will also be presenting their work.
The conference will concentrate on (but is not limited to) the following areas:-

Johns College at the St. Lucia Campus of the University of Queensland
has been booked as the conference venue. All the accommodation,
seminar rooms, exhibitors stands, and dining facilities will be within
the college grounds --- so there will no excuse for anyone becoming
lost!
Lunches
and banquet will be included in the registration fee.
Dormitory
style accommodation is available on-site at St Johns College, for
approximately $40 per night including bed and breakfast. Ample motel
accommodation is available in Brisbane, but not within walking
distance of the University.
