PerIoT 2020: 4th International Workshop on Mobile and Pervasive Internet of Things - Welcome and Committees

Welcome to the fourth International IEEE Workshop on Mobile and Pervasive Internet of Things (PerIoT 2020) in Austin, Texas. The workshop will be held in conjunction with the IEEE International Conference on Pervasive Computing and Communications (PerCom 2020).

This year, we had a total of 15 submissions, from 6 different countries. Each paper has been peer-reviewed, with at least 2 reviews from members of the Technical Program Committee. We have accepted 7 papers for presentation and publication at the workshop with an acceptance rate of 46% according to the statistic report generated from the online review system (EDAS). This year's paper selection process has been really cooperative since there were some really great ideas and contributions. We also have a Keynote talk on "A Cross-Domain Machine Learning Framework for Pervasive Sensing" - by renowned expert and professor of UMBC, Dr. Nirmalya Roy at the beginning of the workshop day. Another brand-new addition to this year's schedule is an interactive panel on "Evolving IoT Tech Enables Aging in Place"

The accepted papers are covering a range of topics in the world of the Internet of Things and we are looking forward to hearing the presentations in Austin from the authors who will be presenting their work on Friday, March 27, 2020 (Full day Workshop).

We would like to thank all the people who worked so hard to make this workshop a success. A special thanks to our Technical Program Committee who did an amazing job reviewing the paper in a timely and professional manner. Special thanks to the publicity committee who reached out to the IoT research community in spreading the word about PerIoT 2020. Also, we wish to thank the PerCom 2020 Organizing Committee for their support for the fourth year. Last but not least, we would like to thank the authors for choosing to submit their publications to PerIoT 2020.

Once again, welcome to PerIoT 2020 and hope you all enjoy the technical program in Austin.
