Content Addressibility
- in a Von Neumann architecture data is stored at specific locations or
addresses in the computer's memory
- in order to retrieve that data it's
unique address must be known
- contrast this with human memory
which seems capable of locating records (or
memories) based on any of the information stored in that record
- similarly in the IAC network we can activate a set of characteristics
and have the network retrieve the person and other characteristics
associated with that set
