ACPE�CIGRE award of Outstanding Academic for 2017

Prof. Tapan Saha from the University of Queensland has been awarded the ACPECIGRE Outstanding Academic for 2017 at AUPEC 2017 in Melbourne (19 November 2017) and at CIGRE AGM in Adelaide (24th November 2017).

This award is awarded to a recipient selected by Australasian Committee for Power Engineers (ACPE) in consultation with CIGRE Australian Board. ACPE -CIGRE Outstanding Academic Award is established in 2016 to recognise exceptional Australasian academics for outstanding career-long contributions to teaching and research in electric power engineering as well as contribution to industry. Candidate must have extensive experience in academia or/and power industry.

The awardee selection considers power engineering education and research achievements as well as contribution to industry, including contributions to CIGRE study committees, Australian panels, working groups and contribution to and support of CIGRE activities and initiatives during the year.

UQ Award for Excellence in RHD Supervision

Professor Tapan Saha won this prestigious award for his dedicated contribution in power engineering education and research and service to IEEE for a sustained period of time.

Australian Learning and Teaching Council Citation

Awarded To: Professor Tapan Saha

Professor Tapan Saha won the prestigious Australian Learning &Teaching Council Citation in 2009. He won this award for his contributionto enhancing undergraduate and postgraudate power engineering through leadership in industry engagement, in work-integrated learning and the collaborative development of innovative postgraduate programs. Citations are awarded to academic and professional staff who have made long standing contributions to the quality of student learning and improving the overall student experience. Each citation is work $10,000.

Professor Tapan Saha won a Citation for outstanding contributions to student learning in 2008.
